A 2nd Edition Gamma World Tale

After disposing of the Orlen sentries and regrouping for a few moments, Avagadro tells the others that he was justified in not trusting Opie in the face place! He tells him he hand a suspicion about him in the first place and this goes to show that the Orlens were not up to good. After hearing of some activities which is happening within the complex, our heroes decide to head to the command center and get a better grasp of the situation.
They discover several of the spider-bot sentries have been destroyed as well. Parts of them lying about the ground and scavenged. Dandini tells them of a small group of serfs that have returned and activated them and “self destruct”. Dandini knows not to mess around with Serfs.
Upon learning that the leader of the Serfs called “The General” has returned with an unhatched egg that he’s playing on hatching inside the complex, Our heroes make a beeline for the command center to see if they can get a better eye on the situation.
While inside the command center, Wyke decides to move about in his suit. Knocking over a few things which activates a music cube. A song is playing and it really has an infectious beat and he begins dancing about. The song and old and ancient and pretty much considered a song of the Ancients.
Dandini flutters about to each party member and re-introduces himself since everyone now has taken a little break. As Brenda 411 shows them how to turn on the computers and security cameras.
Avagadro thinks he hears a tapping at the door to the huge chamber where the inert “Deathbot” is located. He tells the others to be quiet as he opens the door.
As the door slides open Avagadro sees Fens (fishfolk) who have emerged from the water and are exploring the huge cavern they are in. Avagadro wounded and pretty cranky from it swings at the first creature. Slicing him up pretty good, though Avagadro receives a wound and he goes down for the count.
Wyke in the middle of his dancing, spots Avagadro hit the floor and a pool of blood spilling out of him. He fires off two lasers and one misses the Fen the other hits it but it seems the laser does no damage at all.
Kamanda toss a couple of grenades but they fall short of the mark and he puts up repulsion fields around them to contain the blasts. Wyke in his power armor decides to kick one of the Fens and hits it so hard that if it ever decided to wake up it’s clothes would be out of style.
Avagadro is now in a huge pool of blood. Kamanda closes the door to seal themselves up and our heroes finish off the Fens that are trapped inside.
Once the trapped Fens are dealt with, Kamanda checks over Avagadro and see that he has indeed went the way of the Dodo.
Extinct.
Kamanda suggests that they should put him in the cold chamber where they might be able to revive him later. But, now they have the problems with the Fens to deal with first.
Wyke opens the door and as it slides open he expects to see a wall of Fens waiting, but there is nothing. All he hears is a clanging sound echoing throughout the chamber. as he peers to look he spots a Fen hammering against the huge drone in the corner of the room.
He rushes across the chamber to stop the Fen from clanging against the machine of death, as Kamanda has told him it was called. He punches the beast since he knows his lasers won’t do anything, the Fen then jumps into the water to flee.
The Death Machine is still inactive to everyone’s relief and they decide to put Avagadro in the stasis chamber on the level above. When they arrive they can see Mak Coye has been studying the lore of the ancients and he seems to have a good grasp of the frozen pods. They lower Avagadro’s lifeless corpse into one and each of them taking a turn in saying something about the little mutated mole.
