Wit H. Care, a fixer, sits in his office sipping on a cup of synthcoffee. His secretary, Miss Appeal, lets him know of the agenda of the day. Idol, sits in the adjoining office surfin’ the net.

A call comes into the office, it is Bonnie Bait, her daughter and two friends haven’t been seen in three days. They went to a nightclub in the industrial district to attend to a concert by , The Hearing Impaired, since Kathy, Bonnie’s daughter, is a huge fan of the group. She is willing to pay whatever it takes to find her daughter scrounging every last Eddies to have her daughter located.

While Wit is on the holo digging for more information. Idol jacks in and does a deep dive to see if Bonnie is on the up and up. He discovers that she has three part time jobs and lives in the poor district in a two room apartment.

He also searches around for the group, The Hearing Impaired, and find out that the band doesn’t have a steady roster of performers. Since some of them perish while performing in the worst districts and the worst clubs in the city where the body count is pretty high.

He also learns that the band has been playing at a place called The Totentanz, which also sets off some flags for being a bar under the control of a gang called Malestrom. Also, that the Totentanz is heavily fortified and net secured.

Wit begins to assemble a team.

At the Pixie’s Glenn nightclub, The Bloody Marys are performing. Rockergirls, Amethyst and Astrid are on stage singing to a full house while their bodyguard, Solo, continues to scan the crowd. Kitty spots someone edging closer and closer to the stage, squeezing through the crowd like a snake in a grass. Kitty recognizes the stalker as one who has been previous shows and trying to meet the rockergirls because all the songs they sing is for him and him alone. The stalker draws out a weapon shouting “I love you Amethyst and if you can’t love me, you will never love anyone!”

Kitty is quick on the draw, snatching the stalkers arm and twist the fellow around and embracing the stalker in a headlock until he passes out. The solo hands the stalker to the bouncers who arrive and drag the unconscious stalker away.

Wit contacts them to let them know he has a task for them to do. So the girls finish up their set and disperse with Kitty to head to Wit’s office.

Lynk and Oko are hanging at the Sunset Inn on the outskirts of town. Lynk’s vehicle is in the garage and it will take a few days to get fixed since the vehicle is shot up pretty bad. When Wit calls them they decide to head into Night City and call for an Aerocab to pick them up.

The Aerocab arrives and picks them up, costing them some Eddies in the process, the driver Ozit Farzad, welcomes them aboard. As the cab hovers above the ground and heads towards the city. Lynk spots a couple of kids looking up at the cab, one of them has a cylinder like tube pointing towards them. So Lynk, rolls down the window and fires at the kid hitting him square in the torso. The kid perishes dropping the tube, which turns out to be a telescope.

Oko looks on in disbelief as Lynk chuckles and laugh stating he thought it was a rocket launcher. Oko just shakes his head. But the incident had caught the eye of a police cruiser in the area who orders the Aerocab to land.

Before the formalities begins Lynk bribes the officer with some eddies and a smirk on his face. And on that note the officer let’s them be on there way.

As the team assembles, Idol, does a little more research. Hacking into CCTV, Security cameras to see if he can spot the trio entering the Totentanz. Wit makes some calls about inquiring about the nightclub as well. But, no new insights could be found. So, the team decides to head to the Totentanz with a plan of action.

The current band on the roster is Strangled Babies and they too seem to have a heavy following of chromers, boosters, and posergangs as well. Amethyst and Astrid had also performed with them a few times over the years as well.

Idol remains behind in the office and will be jacked in, keeping an eye on the team and hopefully trying to hack into the Totentanz net system as well. Miss Appeal will stand guard at the office keeping an eye on him.

They arrive at the club, the parking lot is crowded and full, music is blaring from speakers outside the club as well. The Strangled Babies are indeed rocking the place. Amethyst, Astrid, Kitty and Oko weave through the crowd heading for the front entrance. Oko bumps into a large muscular woman who is chromed up as well and apologizes. The woman, named Hippo, inquires if he wants to dance. Oko quickly tells her to speak to his manager and points to Kitty. Hippo goes over and taps Kitty on the shoulder, and Kitty caught surprised immediately tries to throw the arm off but to no avail. He glances to see who the arm belongs too and is taken aback. Hippo inquires about Oko and Kitty tells her that he’s free to dance since there is nothing on his agenda at the moment.

Oko knowing that he’s going to be in big trouble, tries to blend into the crowd but Hippo grabs him and picks him up and begins blowing through the crowd to the nightclub. Creating a clear path for Amethyst, Astrid and Kitty.

Wit and Lynk have made there way to the front entrance, it cost 25 Eddies to enter, and as Hippo with Oko in tow enter the place and before a bouncer can say anything about them, Wit pays there fee inside. He tells Idol and the rest through their link that they don’t want any signs of trouble… at the moment.

Wit tells the bouncer that he wants to chat with the head of security of the club since he’s on an “official” task. The bouncer let’s them into the foyer and tells them that “Bridge It” will see them momentarily.

Inside the club on the dance floor a “demolish pit” is going. Sparks and blood are flying as The Strangled Babies perform there cover of a classical tune “Master of Puppets”. Hippo is enjoying the festivities, while Oko is taking in some damage from all the bumping and grinding, the slamming and the jamming of all those in the pit.

A Maelstrom bouncer, Kid Krome, recognizes the Bloody Marys and clears a path to the stage, he had seen them perform the other night and digs their sound. He presumes they are at the club to perform there as well and has security clear the way to the stage for them. As they approach the stage, the lead singer of SBs, Nanna Nuke, recognize them and invites them up on the stage as well to perform. Kitty stays close to them as to keep an eye on them. But, in the process he takes some damage from the moshers around him.

Bridge It arrives and speaks with Wit and Lynk, she leads them to the upper tier of the place so they can chat where the noise level is slightly lower and muffled so they can chat. Wit explains to her that he had been hired to locate some missing people and their last location was this club. Bridge It says that they do not keep tabs on the people that come and go and that she can’t help him. But Wit manages to persuade her that they only want access to the security feed for the last three days and trying to match faces of the missing girls. Bridge It allows them access to the video feed.

Idol, at the office, is giving an opening as the video feed comes through, he hacks inside the net and slips through a datawall, staying invisible, and bypassing a couple of hellhounds programs. Not only is he downloading the feed, he nabs a few other details in the process. Though, the video feed has all the faces digitally obscured. Idol attempts to unaltered the feed. Thus alerting the Totentanz netrunners of his presence and what he is trying to do.

As Idol informs the crew, Bridge It gets alerted as well and activates sentries on Wit and Lynk who realize that the jig is up. As red dots show on each of their foreheads both manage to dive for cover as shots ring out.

The Bloody Marys are on stage and hearing Idol’s warning decide to use the ability to incite the crowd even more. The mosh pit is now slowly becoming a melee zone. Oko knows what is about to happen and informs Hippo that things are going to get more violet and persuades her to leave. Kitty sensing the change as well heads off the dance floor, but Astrid calls him back to save him as the stage starts to collapse. Kitty then proceeds back into the pit, taking damage along the way.

Bridge It and two security guards go into melee with Wit and Lynk because she was double crossed and Wit and Lynk manage to put her down quickly with a head shot.

Idol has grabbed as much data as he could while fighting off the hellhounds and bursting through a data wall, before he leaves the system he activates the sprinklers and the fire alarm. As he opens his eyes, Miss Appeal, has been standing over him with a bucket of ice water cooling him down some.

The gang manages to flee the Totentanz and regroup outside, Idol informs them that he has what he needs but it will take awhile to go through the files. Everyone heads back to Wit’s office to heal and rest.

Sometime later….

After compiling data, calling in some favours, and some of the team healing up from their experiences at the Totentanz, Idol lays down what he is able to uncover. Maelstrom has the club under it’s wing, also a food processing plant, and also a huge warehouse along the wharves. From the security video, and CCTV feeds throughout the city. He knows that there are vans that leave the Totentanz after midnight and go to the food processing plant, stopping at various stores in town before arriving at the Warehouse.

Idol also notices that for the past three days as the vans leave the establishment a NCPD hover car takes off from the roof, and ends up at the Warehouse.

Is It Made From People?

The gang trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together, figuring out what happened to the girls and what their next course of action is. Consensus thinks that they might be used as food to be process at the plant. Making a few stomachs churn.

What is with the NCPD patrol craft lifting from the building after midnight and why does it head to the warehouse? It is the same NCPD each time. And after a little digging, Idol, finds out that they are Officers Hardford, a veteran, and Perez, a mere rookie.

The Warehouse along the wharf seems to be a big piece in this factor. And what secrets will it unfold? Are the girls being taken there as part of a trafficking ring?

The gang decides to see what the rookie knows and after a little digging, hacking and calling in more favours. They find out that Perez likes to hang out at a strip joint after hours. So the Bloody Marys have a plan and they inform the others what they intend to do.

Hold Me Closer Tiny Dancer

Amethyst, Astrid, Kitty and Oko arrive at the strip club, also Hippo decided to tag along because she has a crush on Oko. Kitty and Hippo wait outside as Amethyst, Astrid and Oko enter the establishment. Oko blending in the background to keep an eye on them and watching out for anything out of the ordinary as well.

Amethyst and Astrid spot Perez sitting along and they sit beside him, catching him off guard and he doesn’t know whats going on. Both Amethyst and Astrid turn on the charm and seduce Perez to come back with them for a ”private party”.

As the are in the process of returning, Idol discovers that 33 people have disappeared while at the Totentanz over the past month. It’s also discovered that someone in a powerful position is running this operation and using the Maelstrom as “security”.

With Perez entranced by the girls he is oblivious to his surroundings and they all return to Wit’s office where he had set up a bar, music, and mood lighting. Questioning Perez they find out there is indeed a human trafficking ring which occurs every month. Perez says that since he is a rookie he better keep his mouth shut if he and his mother want to keep breathing.

Perez knows that in another 24 hours that the trafficking ring happens with “dignitaries” from all around will attend and bid on “items” before he succumbs to the alcohol. Idol and Kitty decide to put Perez in a cab and tell the cabbie to take him home.

Rescuing the Taken

With less then 24 hours to rescue not only the missing girls along with the others that were “taken”. The group decides to come up with a plan, Wit calls a person who has organized the smuggling ring and let’s them know that he knows and he’s willing to cut a deal.

The Bloody Marys will be the entertainment for the night, and after there show they will be put up for auction as well, according to Wit. But, as there manager they need to arrive early so that the band can set up their equipment for the show. Wit has permission and is given an access card to let them into the warehouse.

Before they decide to go there, they make a detour to a rival gang and ask for their assistance in what they see as a big bold plan. The Pastor is the leader of the other gang and he listens to what the group has uncovered and vows to assist with their rescue endeavor. The Pastor assembles a team of “holy warriors” to unleash hell when they get the signal to do so.

When the group arrives at the warehouse, producing their access token and they are lead inside the warehouse to set up the stage. Wit acts like the Bloody Marys manager, with Lynk as his assistant. Amethyst and Astrid pretend to go over a playlist, and practice their moves on the stage while Kitty, Oko, and Hippo act as roadies, and Idol as the sound manager begin moving equipment around.

Idol needs access to the warehouses net as to “make sure” they can perform a flawless performances without any interruptions. As the dignitaries arrive, the “taken” are also shown in glasses cages. But, one of the characters is recognized by a Maelstrom guard and he informs the others.

GM Note: The final act is an all out battle as our heroes and villains clash, bullets are flying, monofilament wires are slashing, swords are clashing and the signal is sent. So I won’t bore you with the details here.

Once the dust of battle settles, in the end the missing girls and others are rescued. The rival gang had assisted the heroes in the battle and the operator of the smuggling ring is captured and taken to The Pastor for holy judgement. Wit managed to secure enough Eddies to keep them happy for a little while.
